Rachel Nichols, Brian Windhorst and Stephen Jackson head to “Crunch Time,” discussing (0:00) Ricky Rubio saying he is not the Utah Jazz’s top priority in 2019 NBA free agency (with Jackson reminding people Rubio had hype similar to Luka Doncic when he entered the league); (1:01) the New York Knicks meeting with RJ Barrett, and what that could mean for the 2019 NBA draft and possibly a trade for Anthony Davis; and (1:36) what version of Andre Iguodala we can expect to see in Game 3 of the Golden State Warriors vs. Toronto Raptors matchup in the 2019 NBA Finals.

Jackson he's everything but that (Doncic)?? Rubio is an old school point guard. Pass first, team first, good decision maker, etc. He's going to be a Great addition to whichever team picks him up

Jackson.. He was never on that level of doncic… Not on age and not in talent.. Check your facts..
BTW I still think ricky is a solid player, good luck finding a better distributor than him.

For kids out there, there definitely was some hype before Rubio came into the league. I remember my friend telling me when I was in high school there's a passing wonderkid teenager in Spain that would dominate the league.

Sounds really familiar… Cough Cough Zion Williamson. Word to the wise, don’t overhype players that haven’t even delivered in the bigs yet

They were calling Rubio the next Pistol Pete. Shaq actually named him "La Pistola." So yeah, the expectations were rather high. It's sad, because he's a solid rotation player, but never developed the shooting ability that would have made him truly sought-after.
